We will not provide following items, but those are required for establish Geospace service.

There are eight locators accessible to one Sync Unit,

If you want connecting more locators, refer to the diagram below.
(Check the switch for setting Master or Slave status on the back side of the Sync Unit.)


Install JAVA

Please download and install the 64-bit Java SE Run Time Environment.

Download the JRE version of Java or JDK.

You can find JAVA install file in below link

Note : Make sure that you have installed a 64-bit version of Java. 32 bit Version may not allocate more than 2GB of memory. In some cases, more than 2GB of mermory is required.

Select the installation path you want and click install button.

You can find least system requirement below : 

CPU : i5

Memory : 4GB

HDD : 200MB

Locator Installation


Program Installation & Execution

  • Geospace services will be provided compressed files in USB.(e.g.
  • Copy the comressed file to your PC, and rename to and extract it.
  • GLE, GLP folder will be created automatically under geospace directory. You can find *.exe file in each foledrs.
  • For excute the Geospace service, You should excute GLP and GLE.
  • The GLP requires a lincense file to run and the license file must be located with the glp.exe file.
  • Copy the license.lic file to the GLP foler and run glp.exe.

Excute the licnese- file in the GLP folder, then program will create the license.
Please check key.txt file is createdm and send the file to via mail.

Geoplan will send you a lcense file via mail.

  • GLP (Geo Location Platform)
     – GLP is platform of Geospace. GLP provide make object using tag’s coordinate, manage function that setting type and style,
         user interface of hardware’s status and simplified coordinate monitoring UI.
    –  You can find program status when GLP working properly in above picture.
  •  GLE (Geo Location Engine)
      – GLE is engine of Geospace. GLE proviode function that making coordinate unsing locator’s signal coming from tag.
      – You can find program status when GLE working properly in above picture.

If each locators, sync units, POE switches are connected using ethernet cable and locator’s LED is turned “green”, you can proceed next step by GLC

1) Run glp.exe and connect to GLC. (http://{server_ip_address}:7080/geospace/glc)
2) ID : ****, Password : ****
3) If there is no project, create a new project like second picture above.
4) Select a project.

Set Locator's IP using DHCP

Install the DHCP server program for Windows. You can find sample program following links
You can configure the following ranges for the DHCP server on the computer’s ethernet port like below :

We will provide device with IP setting is already done.
(IP allocated devices : Locator, Sync Unit)

5) Click button ① for create new space.
6) Check the IP address of your PC or server. (when you using own PC, assign IP what you want to the PC)
7) Run the DHCP server program and set up options that can communicate with the current server. (Basically, using same C class is the easiest way.)
8) Click button ② to register all locators what you want.
9) Change IP mode to static, fill information on text field, click button ③ to save, and click button ④ for reboot the locator.
     Last, Make sure it has changed normally.
     ※ The reboot process takes about a minute.
10) Fill the locator coordinates (x,y), and height (z), and save.

The number of locator that you have installed is displayed in the Geolocators list.
1) If the connection status is ‘접속(connected)’.
2) If the UWB Clock status is ‘비정상(means disconnected)’, select locators what you want and click button ③.
    When synchronizing is in progress, the locator LED is displayed as shown in the side picture(*). After completion, changes back to green.
    ※ Synchronization takes one to ten minutes to complete.

When locators synchronizing, tag keeps turn on and make sure locators with the LED blinking.
If the locator is far away from your position, the LED may not blink. Then you should bring the tag closer for make locator receive signal from locator.
If UWB auto-synchronization is successfully done, UWB clock status in the locators list is displayed as ‘정상(means normal)’.


* Calibration should be proceed with all locator coordinate set like above picture.
* GLP and GLE must be run for calibration.

1) You must know the coordinates of the current tag for the calibration.
2) Before proceed calibration, make sure that line of sight (LOS) is clear.
(Signal can not through steel structure. So you must avoid steel structure.)
3) If there is no problem with the current position, place the laser distance measurement on the tripod like above picture.
4) And click button ① .

5) Select to locators that are the closest and the most visible at the current point. Select those locator on “Target 1 ” and “Target 2”. and fill the blank               distance from measure device to “Target 1” and “Target 2”. Then, put tag on tripod and measure height of tripod, fill the information in height text field.
※ It is important that tag should be placed with clear LOS between two locators.

6) When you measure distance, You should start measurement from middle of measurement device. because tag will be placed when you put on tripod.
    And when you measure height, make sure that measuring device shall be 90º with ground.

7) When you measure distance to locator, laser should be pointed as close as possible to the origin point within the red rectangle like above picture.

8) Click button ① on above picture.
9) When click button ①, two intersections occur, like ② in above picture.
    You can find that the correct position of two intersections, and you can expect ② is the current position.
10) Select proper intersection on ③.
11) Click button ④.

12) When you click button ① for apply calibration in above picture, the coordinates of the current point are automatically copied to the location to be                 calibrated, as shown in ②.
13) Fill the ID of the tag that you want to use for calibration on first blank of ②.

14) With the tag power is on, put on tag like above picture and click ③.

15) When the number of readings(①) is approximately 1000 times, click button ② to stop.
16) Select what you want to use for calibration from the list(③) and click the apply button of ④ to apply them.
17) When calibration is done, carry the tag around and check the coherence of the coordinates.

How to start monitoring tag's coordinate

1) Select button ① for draw area, and draw the area on map using drag where you want to track on the drawing.
2) Click button ② to apply it.
3) When you click ③(stop), the position of the tag is displayed as ④.
